Leaf Coaster Free Crochet Pattern

Hello there! Happy Sunday everyone :) I am getting back into my blogging and it feels good to want to write again.

My crochet leaf coaster is finished. I LOVE IT! It really came out exactly as I had imagined it.
Today I want to share with you this pattern, very exciting. Crochet leaf coaster for your tea party! Pattern is free below, or you can purchase the printable, ad-free version from my Ravelry Shop HERE.

Note

You can use any type of yarn to crochet a leaf. Just check the label to see what size hook corresponds with the weight of your yarn.

Gauge

Not important for this project.

Materials

♥ Yarn: 1 color,
♥ Crochet Hook (Choose size that corresponds with the weight of your yarn),
♥ Scissors.

Skill Level

The project would be great for a beginner crocheter looking to try post stitches for the first time.

Abbreviations

mc = magic circle; ch(s) = chain(s); st(s) = stitch(es); sc = single crochet; dc = double crochet; FPdc = Front Post double crochet; BPdc = Back Post double crochet; tr = treble crochet; FPtr = Front Post treble crochet; BPtr = Back Post treble crochet.

Instructions


Row 1: mc (counted as a ch), ch6, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in the next 2 chs, ch 4, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in the next 2 chs, ch, sc in the next 3 chs.

Row 2: ch3(counted as a dc), turn, 2 dc in 1 st, 2 dc, dc in the ch st, 2 dc, 3 dc in 1 st.

Row 3: ch3, turn, 2 dc in 1 st (top of previous row last st), 4 dc, 1 BPdc, 4 dc, 3 dc in 1 st(3rd ch of turning ch3).

Row 4: ch3, turn, 1 dc (top of previous row last st), 3 dc, dc and FPtr together (over the next st and BPdc), 2dc (in skipped sts), FPdc over the BPdc, 2 dc, FPtr and dc together (over the BPdc and next st), 3 dc, 2 dc in 1 st.

Row 5: ch3, turn, 1 dc (top of previous row last st), 2 dc, dc and BPdc together (over the next st and 2nd FPtr), dc (in skipped st), 3 dc, BPdc over the FPdc, 4 dc, BPdc and dc together (over the 1st FPtr and next st), 2 dc, 2 dc in 1 st.
