Crochet Edge For Blankets

This edging was designed specifically for the Diamond Blanket, but I think it would look great around pretty much any type of blanket.

Materials

♥ Yarn,
♥ Crochet Hook (Choose size that corresponds with the weight of your yarn),
♥ Scissors.

Abbreviations

st(s) = stitch(es); ch(s) = chain(s); ch-3 picot = chain 3 picot; dc = double crochet; dtr = double treble; sc = single crochet; sl st = slip stitch; tr = treble; [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified;() * = repeat whatever follows the * as indicated.

Instructions

Row 1:* [sc 1, ch 1] 6 times, sc 1, ch 8, [sc 1, ch 1] 2 times, sc 1; repeat * until you reach the end of border.

Row 2: *ch 1, sc in 1st sc stitch, [dtr, ch 1] 8 times in ch-8 space, skip 2 sc stitches, sc in next sc stitch, [ch 1, sc] 4 times; repeat * until you reach the end of the row.

Row 3: *ch 1, sc, ch 1, sc, ch 3, ch 3 picot, ch 3, skip one sc stitch, sc in next sc stitch, ch 1, sc, sc in top of 1st dtr, ch 3, ch 3 picot, ch 3, sc in top of 3rd dtr, ch 3, ch 3 picot, ch 3, sc in top of 6th dtr, ch 3, ch 3 picot, ch 3, sc in top of last dtr, sc in last sc stitch; repeat * until you reach the end of the row.
